NAMTECH’s vibrant campus came alive from May 19 to 23, 2025, with the launch of its first-ever Experiential Summer School Programme — METXplore 2025 — held at the IIT Gandhinagar Research Park. Designed to spark curiosity and hands-on learning, the five-day programme welcomed 15 bright school students who immersed themselves in the fascinating worlds of robotics and 3D printing.

Under the mentorship of Mani and Madhu, students built and programmed basic robots, while Manendra Kumar, Vanshika Pundir, and Jigar Panchal guided them in designing and printing their own 3D creations. Energizing activity capsules led by Jaya Vadhera helped the young learners connect with themselves and each other. “Chitti,” the lively robot-in-a-suit, became an instant hit, adding fun and wonder to the experience.

Special guests including Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Dr. Amit Patel, and Dr. Devang Joshi engaged with the students during the week, offering insights from their own journeys. The programme concluded on a high note with a visit from Dr. Eric Grimson (MIT), who personally handed over certificates to the students at the closing ceremony, leaving them with words of encouragement that will resonate long after METXplore.
